Union Point Park

Recently we cruised along Embarcadero in Oakland to find Union Point Park. This is a lovely place right beside the estuary. The wonderful play structure is in the shape of a boat, ready to sail away. Melissa and I played with everything, of course, before getting down to business. We found a good spot for our fairy house, which is also a gnome house now that we have those tiny creatures to leave with the houses.

Roaming around the park further, we found a fascinating sculpture titled “Sigame”, which means “Follow Me”. This sculpture was created in 2001 by artist Scott Donahue. It represents 20 women from Oakland’s history. Read more about it here.
