Dimond Park
We made our first visit to Dimond Park, which is a lovely park near to the corner of Fruitvale and MacArthur in Oakland, on September 15 and went back again on September 24. The beautiful flowers in this photo are maintained by Jim Cunniff, a neighborhood volunteer. You can read some more about the park here.
Every time we visited there were plenty of kids running around and playing. But we were able to find a quiet path off to the side where we left our first offerings. When we came back, true to form, someone had found our fairy furniture and taken them home. So we left more goodies in another location.
Finally, we climbed down a steep bank to Sausal Creek, which runs through the park. Along the creek bed, we found a nice spot to leave just a couple bits of furniture for an adventurous soul to find.
