Brookdale Park
Here’s a cute little park with a great basketball court and a large grassy area. The playground is a bit out of the way and we had to hike there from Brookdale Avenue. I think the Oakland fairies have the same prejudice I do which is, they love being around redwood trees. We found a wonderful little area at the base of one tree tailor made for a fairy abode. We left furniture there one trip and a house on the second.
I’m enjoying these trips around Oakland’s parks and what I can learn. For example, the reason Brookdale has such a nice basketball setup is that a team of Warriors employees volunteered in 2018 to make significant improvements to this park. Check it out here.
