Willow Mini-Park
We visited one more park in West Oakland and this was a beauty. Willow Park has a fantastic playground and some beautiful tile art. Apparently, from a quick survey of articles about the park, it’s had a checkered past, with drugs use and nefarious folk frequenting the location in earlier years. Certainly on the day we stopped by, the park was clean and fresh and ready for kids to play there.
Being nothing but big kids ourselves, we first had to try out all the toys. Melissa did some good swinging. Now she says she understands why I always play on the swings whenever there’s a chance.
I have a new fairybombing hat!! You can see it in one of the photos below. I decided I needed something more fantastical to achieve the proper attitude for this endeavor.
