Leona Heights Park
This is a gorgeous park in the land below Merritt College in the lower Oakland hills. No playground for kids to romp but absolutely stunning trails winding across bridges and through redwoods. We found lots of spots where fellow artists had added their own touches to the natural landscape. Or perhaps the fairies have been busy at work. The place certainly looks like a spot where fairies would be content. We found a spot beneath a big redwood for today’s fairy house and furniture.
